ROSE APARTMENTS GROUNDBREAKING

On May 13, 2020, the Rose Apartments project for Venice Community Housing Corporation officially broke ground in West Los Angeles. The 4-story development will provide permanent supportive housing for 34 formerly homeless households. 

Our Project Team and Walton Field Staff are extremely excited to deliver such an excellent project for our client and the surrounding community; Blake Jackson (Vice President of Construction), Jake Williams (Project Manager), Bill Bryant (Superintendent), and Ricardo Hernandez (Project Engineer) This project is designed to achieve Green Point Rated Gold certification.  Construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2021.

CADENCE APARTMENTS GROUNDBREAKING

On May 21, 2020, the Cadence project for LINC Housing officially broke ground in the Watts neighborhood. The 4-story development will provide 64 apartment homes for the formerly homeless.

GRAMERCY PLACE APARTMENTS GROUNDBREAKING

On June 26, 2019 the Gramercy Place Apartments project for Hollywood Community Housing broke ground in the Harvard Heights neighborhood. The mixed-use affordable housing development will provide 64 units of housing for seniors and formerly homeless persons. The project is designed by Kevin Daly Architects and is expected to open the first quarter of 2021.

We are honored to be selected as the General Contractors for the Gramercy Place project. Our Project Team includes; Cameron Hawkins (Senior Project Manager), Valentin Quintero (Superintendent), and Cody Shahan (Project Engineer).

EL NUEVO AMANECER APARTMENTS GROUNDBREAKING

On Monday, June 10, 2019, the East LA Community Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony for the El Nuevo Amanecer Apartments project. The development will provide new housing options for low-income and veterans in the East LA area. The project which is expected to be completed fall of 2020 will include 61 units of quality affordable housing, with 31 units of permanent supportive housing for homeless veterans and 28 units for low-income families.

Walton is pleased to be selected as the General Contractor to support ELACC’s efforts in tackling the homeless crisis in Los Angeles. Our Project Team includes; Blake Jackson (V.P. /Senior Project Manager), Rony Cifuentes (Project Manager), Steve Terry (Superintendent), and Marco Morales (Project Engineer).

FLORENCE MILLS APARTMENTS GROUNDBREAKING

On Thursday, February 28, 2019 the Florence Mills Apartments project for Hollywood Community Housing broke ground in the Vernon/Central neighborhood of South Los Angeles. The Florence Mills development is a new, affordable mixed-use housing project consisting of 74 units, 19 of which will provide supportive housing for veterans and their families. The project will include a commercial plaza featuring murals honoring Florence Mills, one of the most popular African American performers of the 1920s.

ARIA APARTMENTS GROUNDBREAKING

On Monday, March 04, 2019 the Aria project for Affirmed Housing broke ground in the Westlake district of Los Angeles. The development will offer 57 apartment homes for the formerly homeless.  The five-story structure will include 1,000 sf. of common space as well as a large outdoor courtyard with a garden for resident’s use.

SPRINGHAVEN GROUNDBREAKING

On Wednesday January 30, 2019 the Springhaven project for LINC Housing broke ground in the Willowbrook neighborhood of Los Angeles. The 100 unit affordable housing project will include supportive housing for the homeless as well as a child development center for at-risk youth.

Walton is thrilled to be part of the team selected to bring this project to fruition for this client and the community. This project is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification. Construction is scheduled to be completed by August 2020.

Anchor Place Wins Three Prominent Architectural Awards

On June 29, 2018, Century Villages of Cabrillo announced that the Anchor Place project received three prominent Architectural awards.

Awards include LABC Architectural award for housing, the AIA Los Angeles Architectural award for affordable housing, and the PCBC Gold Nugget award for the best affordable housing community. We are extremely proud to be part of the team that worked on the Anchor Place project.

Beverly Terrace Grand Opening

On February 07, 2018, A Community of Friends (ACOF) and St. Anne’s celebrated the grand opening of St. Anne’s Beverly Terrace Apartments, with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Walton is extremely proud to be proud to be part of a development that will bring much needed housing to the community it serves.

Beverly Terrace is an affordable housing and childcare center for low-income, homeless families, at risk for homelessness, and young mothers. The project consists of a 4 story over parking level affordable housing complex which will include 26 one-bedroom and 13 two-bedroom apartments. Beverly Terrace will be LEED Certified Platinum, the highest level of energy and water efficiency and indoor environmental quality.

PATH METRO VILLA II GROUNDBREAKING

On December 20, 2017 the PATH Metro Villa Phase II project broke ground in Los Angeles for a new affordable housing project. The development will bring 122 units of supportive housing to formerly homeless families and veterans.

Walton Construction Services was recently awarded a contract to provide General Contracting Services for PATH Ventures, PATH Metro Villas Phase II affordable and permanent supportive apartments.

PATH Metro Villas is a two-phase comprehensive community designed “campus style” to provide 187 affordable permanent supportive housing for formerly homeless and low-income individuals and couples, veterans, low-wage earners, chronically homeless individuals as well as frequent users of the public healthcare system. PATH Metro Villas is being designed to achieve LEED certification. Construction is scheduled to be completed by October 2019.
