Florence Mills Apartments Groundbreaking
On Thursday, February 28, 2019 the Florence Mills Apartments project for Hollywood Community Housing broke ground in the Vernon/Central neighborhood of South Los Angeles. The Florence Mills development is a new, affordable mixed-use housing project consisting of 74 units, 19 of which will provide supportive housing for veterans and their families. The project will include a commercial plaza featuring murals honoring Florence Mills, one of the most popular African American performers of the 1920s.
Walton Construction is honored to be selected as the General Contractor to deliver such a uniquely designed project for Hollywood Community Housing. Our Project Team includes; Blake Jackson (V.P. /Senior Project Manager), Joe Servin (Project Manager), Randy Dedrick (Superintendent), and Cole Petersen (Project Engineer).

Aria Apartments Groundbreaking
On Monday, March 04, 2019 the Aria project for Affirmed Housing broke ground in the Westlake district of Los Angeles. The development will offer 57 apartment homes for the formerly homeless. The five-story structure will include 1,000 sf. of common space as well as a large outdoor courtyard with a garden for resident’s use.
Our Project Team and Walton Field Staff are extremely excited to deliver such an excellent project for our client and the surrounding community; Blake Jackson (V.P. /Senior Project Manager), Kirk Green (Project Manager), Dusty Gravatt Sr. (Superintendent), and Elio Cervantes (Project Engineer) This project is designed to achieve Green Point Rated Gold certification. Construction is scheduled to be completed by September 2020.

Springhaven Groundbreaking
On Wednesday January 30, 2019 the Springhaven project for LINC Housing broke ground in the Willowbrook neighborhood of Los Angeles. The 100 unit affordable housing project will include supportive housing for the homeless as well as a child development center for at-risk youth.
Walton is thrilled to be part of the team selected to bring this project to fruition for this client and the community. This project is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification. Construction is scheduled to be completed by August 2020.

Cedar Springs Grand Opening
On October 28, 2016, A Community of Friends and David and Margaret celebrated the grand opening of the Cedar Springs Apartments project.
Walton Construction Services congratulates A Community of Friends and David and Margaret on a successful project!
Cedar Springs is a mixed population community consisting of 36 unites, a community building and a 10,000 square-foot retail space. Twenty-five (25) units will house Transitional Age Youth, ten (10) units will serve low-income families, and one apartment will be reserved for the on-site manager.

On June 16, 2016, the Los Angeles Business Council (LABC) hosted the 46th Annual Architectural Awards.
The awards ceremony acknowledges architectural design and construction teams for their community-wide contributions. Walton Construction was proud to be recognized for an exceptional contribution in the category of Housing Award for the Cabrillo Gateway project.
Mosaic Gardens Westlake
On June 10th, Mosaic Gardens at Westlake Project broke ground in Los Angeles for a new affordable housing project. The development will bring 125 units of housing for low-income residents, seniors and formerly homeless families.
Walton Construction Services was recently awarded a contract to provide General Contracting Services for the LINC Housing Corporations, Mosaic Garden’s at Westlake affordable housing project.
Mosaic Gardens, located in the Westlake community of the city of Los Angeles, is a new-construction multi-family housing development that will provide a total of 125 one, two, and three-bedroom units. Sixty-three units are reserved for formerly homeless, while 62 units will house low-income families and seniors. Mosaic Gardens at Westlake is being designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification. Construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2017.
Whittier Place Apartments
Walton Construction Services proudly announces the grand opening of the Whittier Apartments project. The project was developed by the East LA Community Corporation consisting of a brand new 25 unit affordable housing community. The project provides housing for individuals and families that are homeless or chronically homeless and living with a mental illness.
Beverly Terrace Apartments
Walton Construction Services announced that they were recently awarded a contract to provide General Contracting Services for the Beverly Terrace Apartments in Los Angeles, CA. The project consists of the new construction of a 4 story over parking level affordable housing and childcare project. The housing project will bring affordable housing to 39 families in the surrounding community.
