Project Description

Location: REDLANDS, CA

Liberty Lane is a new construction affordable and permanent supportive housing community developed by A Community of Friends in partnership with Western Community Housing. Located in Redlands, California, the project consists of 80 affordable apartment homes across four two-story residential buildings and a dedicated community building. The development includes 60 one-bedroom units, 19 two-bedroom units, and one three-bedroom unit, with 62 units reserved as permanent supportive housing for homeless and at-risk veterans. Community amenities include a clubhouse with a multi-purpose community room, kitchen, fitness center, computer room, TV/lounge area, landscaped courtyard, dog run, picnic and barbecue areas, and on-site laundry facilities.

  • 80 Affordable Apartment Homes, including 62 Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) units dedicated to homeless and at-risk veterans
  • Funding sources included Veterans Housing and Homelessness Prevention (VHHP) Program funds, HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds, California Housing Accelerator funding, and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) vouchers
  • Prevailing Wage, DVBE, and Section 3 requirements
  • Supportive services provided through partnerships with U.S. VETS, Loma Linda VA Medical Center, San Bernardino County Community Development and Housing Department, Department of Behavioral Health, and the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino
