Client: Century Housing
Location: Redondo Beach, CA
The Moonstone is a newly converted 2-story, 20-unit permanent supportive housing development affordable multi-family housing. Formerly the Pacific Inn Motel, the property was transformed into studio apartments to provide housing for individuals transitioning out of homelessness. The project included a community room and on-site office for management and support services.
- Complete overhaul of building systems including new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring throughout the building, as well as complete upgrade of the plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Exterior upgrades including new paint, window retrofit, improved egress, and repaving of the parking area
- Energy efficient upgrades
- Funding sources included the State of California’s Project Homekey program and Los Angeles Country’s homeless initiative
